Who we are

An engineering partner, not a license vendor.

Converge is an authorized SOLIDWORKS reseller that works like an engineering solutions provider. We help small and mid sized manufacturers maximize the tools they already own, move to a managed cloud when they are ready, and take the CAD and PDM administration off their plate. We implement and integrate, we don't just resell.

What we do

Create. Manage. Distribute.

We help engineering teams move product data through its whole lifecycle, plugging in the right tools at each phase and weaving AI in where it actually moves the needle.

Create

Design faster

SOLIDWORKS CAD, simulation, and design automation, set up to fit how your engineers actually work.

Manage

Govern the data

Managed PDM and data governance through the Axis Vault, plus Managed CAD Administration so nothing slips.

Distribute

Share anywhere

Cloud hosted SOLIDWORKS and PDM through EpiGrid, so teams work securely from anywhere.

Why work here

A place for people who like solving the real problem.

We are a small, high trust team. The work is technical, the customers are real engineers, and the person closest to the problem gets to fix it.

Engineer to engineer

Our customers are engineers and so are we. You will talk shop with people who respect the craft, not read from a script.

A plan, not a help desk

We prevent problems instead of waiting for them. You will build repeatable systems, not put out the same fire twice.

Cloud first and AI forward

We are the reseller that walks the cloud walk, and we build real engineering AI workflows across the whole stack.

Room to own it

Small team, real ownership. Good ideas ship fast and your fingerprints are on the outcome.

Technical Sales Representative

Full time Remote, Southeast preferred Monday to Friday $60,000 base

Full cycle B2B sales for engineers who can talk shop. Sell the whole SOLIDWORKS and managed services portfolio, carry the technical thread, and build pipeline nationwide.

About the role

Converge Design, based in the Atlanta metro area, is a solutions driven company specializing in SOLIDWORKS, simulation, PDM, and managed services for engineering and manufacturing firms. We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team in a full cycle sales role. This is a role for someone who can carry a technical conversation and sell an outcome, not just a license. You will own the full cycle, from first outreach to close, and represent the entire Converge portfolio.

What you will do

  • Prospecting and pipeline. Generate new opportunities nationwide through outbound prospecting, referrals, and social selling.
  • Consultative sales. Lead discovery to identify customer goals and ROI, selling a complete solution rather than just software.
  • Technical execution. Carry the technical thread on calls and partner with Applications Engineers for in depth demos of SOLIDWORKS, Simulation, PDM, and hosted infrastructure.
  • Portfolio ownership. Position and sell the full portfolio, including Dassault Systemes products, training, and managed services.
  • Content and CRM. Co create content for modern buyers and keep accurate, disciplined data in Zoho CRM.

What you bring

  • Sales experience. 2+ years of full cycle B2B sales with a proven record of building pipeline and closing deals.
  • Technical background. Experience with SOLIDWORKS, CAD platforms, or related engineering software, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical buyers.
  • Location. Based in or near the Gainesville / North Atlanta area, with prospecting nationwide.
  • Skills. Comfortable with CRM discipline, forecasting, and using AI in day to day workflows.

Compensation and benefits

  • Pay. $60,000 base salary plus uncapped commission.
  • Benefits. Performance bonuses, medical coverage with HSA, and a generous PTO policy.

Work arrangement

This is a remote role with a preference for the Southeast Region. Minimal travel is required for onboarding, customer visits, and the annual 3DEXPERIENCE World event. Applicants must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not offered.

Converge Design is an equal opportunity employer, committed to hiring based on sales ability, technical aptitude, and enthusiasm.

Associate Applications Engineer

Full time Remote Travel < 15% $50,000 – $80,000

Front line technical support and demos for our engineering team — triage SOLIDWORKS tickets, support training, and grow into a full Applications Engineer. A launchpad role.

About Converge Design

Converge Design is a solutions driven company offering a diverse portfolio of tools including SOLIDWORKS software. We passionately seek to find solutions for our customers' bottlenecks and roadblocks beyond just software and technical support. Our team is highly knowledgeable, process driven, and customer obsessed. Based in the Atlanta metro, we serve engineering and manufacturing companies across the Southeast with Managed Services for CAD Administration, SOLIDWORKS software, simulation tools, PDM, and technical support that clears the way for our customers to achieve long term success. We are a growing company, and we are changing what customers expect from a solutions partner and SOLIDWORKS Value-Added Reseller (VAR).

The role

We are looking for our next Associate Applications Engineer to join our technical team — an individual who is genuinely passionate about solutions and SOLIDWORKS, someone who is as excited about a well built SOLIDWORKS assembly as they are about helping a customer solve real problems. As an Associate Applications Engineer on our Technical Team, you will be on the front line: triaging support tickets, working through technical challenges with customers, and helping our senior staff deliver pre-sales demonstrations and training. This role is a launchpad into a full Applications Engineering role for the right person.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the first line of response for customer technical support requests — phone, email, and web based troubleshooting.
  • Assist Senior Applications Engineers with pre-sales product demonstrations for SOLIDWORKS and downstream products (Simulation, PDM, CAM).
  • Deliver and support customer training sessions, both standard and customized, in person and remotely.
  • Help customers with installation, implementation, and SOLIDWORKS best practices.
  • Support Converge's Business Development Representative (BDR) initiative by participating in prospect calls and technical conversations.
  • Maintain training room hardware and infrastructure (backups, upgrades, setup).
  • Pursue SOLIDWORKS certifications (CSWA → CSWP) with full company support — we invest in making you an expert.
  • Contribute to technical content creation: articles, how-to guides, and webinar support.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred (equivalent hands-on experience and/or degrees considered).
  • Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS or strong experience with other professional 3D CAD platforms (Creo, Inventor, NX) — we'll close the SOLIDWORKS gap together.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for CAD, design, and engineering software — this one matters.
  • A clear and confident communicator who can explain technical concepts to non technical audiences.
  • A passionate problem solver who is customer focused, not just working with software.
  • A semi-flexible schedule (15% or less) to align with customer needs.

Bonus points

  • Experience with SOLIDWORKS PDM (vault administration or user level).
  • Exposure to FEA / Simulation tools (SOLIDWORKS Simulation, ANSYS, or similar).
  • Any SOLIDWORKS certifications (CSWA, CSWP).
  • Interest in AI tools and how they apply to engineering workflows.
  • Previous VAR, software company, or technical sales support experience.
  • Experience in industry (design, manufacturing, among others).

Compensation and benefits

  • Base salary. $50,000 – $80,000.
  • Performance bonus. Yes — general, plus bonuses for certification achievement.
  • Health coverage. Medical and a Health Savings Account, with company contributions offered.
  • Paid time off. A generous PTO policy plus paid holidays.

Work arrangement

Remote. Travel required for initial onboarding, with periodic travel (less than 15%) for customer visits and/or team building.

How to apply

Send your resume and a brief note on why you're excited about working for a SOLIDWORKS VAR — not a boilerplate cover letter, just a few sentences in your own words. Bonus: include a screenshot or description of a SOLIDWORKS project you're proud of.

Converge Design is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on the basis of technical aptitude, communication ability, and genuine enthusiasm for the work — full stop.

Business Development Representative

Full time Hybrid remote Sales Base + bonus

A pure outbound phone role: work call lists we build, handle the objections, and set qualified meetings for our sales leadership. In office in Suwanee. Not a closing role.

About Converge

Converge is an engineering solutions company that sells SOLIDWORKS, built by engineers for engineers. We help small and mid sized manufacturers get more out of the CAD and PDM tools they already own, move them to a managed cloud when they are ready, and take the administrative work off their engineers so those engineers can get back to designing.

We are a small team with no layers to fight through. If you do good work here, everyone notices, and you get more room to run.

The role in one sentence

You will spend your day on the phone, calling manufacturers and engineering firms from lists we build for you, and setting qualified meetings for our sales leadership.

That is the job. It is not a marketing job, it is not an account management job, and it is not a job where you will be asked to close deals. Your product is the calendar appointment.

What you will actually do

You will work from targeted call lists we build in Apollo, our prospecting platform. We identify the companies and the people. You reach them.

On a normal day you will make a high volume of outbound calls, work through the objections you hear over and over, and book discovery meetings on the calendars of our Sales Director and our other sales leadership. You will log every call and every outcome in Zoho CRM so the rest of the team can see what is working. You will send short follow up emails to the people you connect with, and you will call the ones who did not pick up again tomorrow.

We will also feed you inbound and warm activity. When someone downloads something, attends a webinar, or replies to a campaign, you get first crack at them.

We will train you on enough of the SOLIDWORKS world to hold a credible conversation with an engineering manager. You do not need to know CAD to start. You do need to be able to explain, in plain words, why a fifteen minute conversation is worth their time.

What we are looking for

We care far more about work ethic and coachability than about your resume.

You should be comfortable picking up the phone and calling a stranger. Not fearless, nobody is, but willing. You should be able to hear no fifty times and dial again. You should be organized enough to keep notes that a colleague could pick up cold. You should write a clear, short email without help.

  • Helpful but not required: prior cold calling, inside sales, or call center experience; any exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or technical products; familiarity with a CRM.
  • Not required at all: a degree, industry experience, or a sales certification.

Details worth knowing up front

This role is in office. We are in Suwanee, GA. This is deliberate. New callers get dramatically better when they can hear how the person next to them handles a call, and when a manager can coach them in the moment. This is not a remote or hybrid position, and we are not going to change our mind about that after you start.

We are hiring two people into a ninety day probationary period. We will be direct with you, because we would want the same: we are opening two of these seats, we will coach both of you the same way and give both of you the same lists and the same support, and at the end of ninety days we intend to keep the stronger performer in a permanent role. The metrics we will judge on are the ones you control, primarily dials, connects, and qualified meetings set that actually hold. You will see your own numbers and your counterpart's numbers every week. Nothing about this will be a surprise on day eighty nine.

We know that is an unusual thing to say out loud in a job posting. We would rather tell you now than have you find out later.

Compensation

Base salary plus a bonus for every qualified meeting you set that holds, with an additional kicker on business that closes out of meetings you sourced. We'll walk you through the base range and the per-meeting bonus on our first call.

Benefits and paid time off per our standard plan, effective on the schedule in our employee handbook.

How to apply

Skip the cover letter. Instead, in your application message, write us three or four sentences on the last time you had to convince somebody of something they did not initially want to hear.

If we like what we read, the first step is a phone screen, because for this job the phone is the test.
