Artificial intelligence is changing how we design, iterate, and deliver products — and it’s doing it fast. On May 20 at 4:30 PM EST, join us in downtown Gainesville, GA for a focused, practical session that shows how AI is already being used in everyday design and engineering work, and what’s coming next.
We’re excited to host our first local event in two years, and we hope to bring real demonstrations and real-world guidance to engineers, CAD admins, and operations teams for your time and effort…plus some BBQ.
What to expect
This event will be hosted at one of our favorite local BBQ spots, Re-cess on the square in downtown Gainesville. Special guest Scott Lidgey from SOLIDWORKS will walk through how AI is being integrated into SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform workflows, including real demonstrations of the kinds of assistants and features that are starting to show up in our favorite CAD platform (think geometry-generating helpers, domain-specific assistants, and knowledge engines that surface design context). You’ll get practical takeaways for:
- How AI can speed concepting and early-stage modeling
- Ways AI helps reduce repetitive tasks and preserve engineering intent
- The current landscape of CAD-focused AI (Leo, Aura, Marie-style assistants and similar tools) and where they fit into your process
- Practical considerations for adopting AI safely while protecting IP and data
We’ll keep the session practical and demo-focused so you leave with concrete ideas you can test immediately.
Who should come
- Mechanical engineers and CAD modelers
- Engineering managers and CAD administrators
- Manufacturing/operations leads interested in speeding handoffs
- Anyone curious about applying AI to engineering workflows
